“I have taken a college level computer class called Essential Word that was approximately eight weeks long and even had to repeat it to absorb the material. I learned more in the two classes that Imee taught on Microsoft Word than I did in the entire computer course taught at the college level. She was willing to take questions, she spent time on the material and it was at my own pace. She created an environment for me to want to ask more questions and never once made me feel inadequate because I have a mental illness, Imee is an excellent teacher!”

I took the computer class, and then followed up with Legal Aid Senior Mobile Lab to learn how to set-up my budget using Excel so I could start my own handmade jewelry business. The class and the assistance from the senior mobile lab changed my life. I told Kathy Watkins, the owner of the ILF, I now have the confidence to move into my own apartment.
